If you’re a person who hates to stay in one place, having a house on wheels seems like a no-brainer.

Many people have started to build their own tiny mobile homes, but now you can buy one that is narrow enough to stay in highway lanes, while being comfortable and full of modern amenities.

Escape Homes has designed a cedar-sided house that measures about 269 square feet. The first floor of the unit is about 180 square feet and features a living room that can be converted to a bedroom, a small kitchen with a full range stove and refrigerator, a bathroom with a 60 inch tub/shower, and a fireplace.

There are also multiple cabinets for storage, a big screen TV with Blu-ray, and a washer and dryer so you’re not dragging your stuff to and from the laundry mat.

On the second level of the RV there is an 89 square-foot lofted space that you can use as an additional bedroom, play room, or reading nook.

Dan Dobrowolski is the founder of Escape Homes and explains that living small doesn’t have to be a compromise.

“[People think] they have to punish themselves, but you need space that works for you,” Dobrowolski told The Oregonian.

Another thing that works for tiny home owners is the tiny price. The standard Escape Traveler RV can be purchased for $65,400. There is also an XL version with a little more space that will cost you $72,800.

While this is definitely a legitimate investment, the tiny house is recognized as an RV by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association. This means that it can be financed through a bank, and a payment plan of $300 to $350 a month is available.

For those concerned with the environment, the RV’s are designed to leave a minimal footprint. The interior is made of 100% recycled planking, the insulation is made of recycled products, and the windows are low emissivity.

According to Dobrowolski, these features were all added to respect the environment

"When we design, we don’t believe in waste,” he said.

Additionally, by using materials like wood, stone, and glass, hopefully owners will feel a connection to the outdoors.

Imagine the fun you could have with this RV. You could drive it across the U.S., live it it full-time, or use it as a guest house.

Just hook it up to your truck, pack it with the necessities, and you’re on your way!
