Spend Your Lottery Winnings on These Epic Vacations

We’ve got some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that nobody won the $800 million Powerball Lottery drawing on Saturday night, and the jackpot is now up to a record-breaking $1.3 billion.

The bad news is that the odds of you winning said jackpot are about 1 in 292.2 million.

Regardless, the prospect of winning such a large sum of money has us thinking about all of the amazing vacations we could take. And we’re not talking about your run-of-the-mill cruises to the Caribbean. No, we’re ready for island hopping in super yachts with the likes of Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

So, if you are the lucky son of a gun to win a billion dollars after Wednesday’s drawing, here are some absolutely over-the-top, embarrassingly decadent vacations you should probably consider.

Fly to the moon

Frank Sinatra sang the lyrics, “Fly me to the moon,” but surely he never thought it was a possibility. Turns out, Frank just needed more money. Space Adventures, the only company that offers civilians the opportunity to travel into the great unknown, is offering circumlunar missions to those willing to pony up $150 million per seat. The trip will be piloted by a Russian Cosmonaut and could make a stop at the International Space Station before passing the moon and heading back to earth.

The first excursion could take place as early as 2017, and with 1.3 billion sitting in the bank (about 806 million after taxes), this is just the kind of outrageous trip you can now afford.

If you’re looking for a better deal, and aren’t that jazzed about going to the moon, a 10-day trip to just the space station will cost you about $52 million.

Cruise on a super yacht

This is AXIOMA — a super yacht that can be all yours for the not-so affordable price of $574,140.00 a week. This boat, if you can call it that, comes with a private cinema, spa, Michelin-starred chef, and a crew of 20. Oh, and we can’t forget to mention the open-air gym, jacuzzi, bar, and steam room.

If you get tired of cruising around, the yacht can park it while you enjoy some of the water sports available on board — including Seadoos, kayaks, water skis, wakeboards, and paddle boards.

AXIOMA is the true definition of luxury, and with a ride like this, even the other millionaires will be jealous of your gorgeous accommodations.

Rent a private island

Sure, Jamaica is beautiful, but it’s also overrun with tourists. If you want to have a private tropical experience, or just want to live out your own Robinson Crusoe fantasies, then a trip to Calivigny Island is just what the doctor ordered. For $438,495 a week, you can secure this island in the Caribbean which accommodates 50 guests. Rental includes private chefs, 24-hour maid and security, jets skis, motorboats, and private car transfers.

If you want your own island, but don’t like the price tag of Calivigny, David Copperfield’s Musha Cay is a steal at $380,068 for 7 nights.
