Flight Attendant Declares, ‘We Don’t Want to Die’

Picture this: The weather is horrible, anxiety is high, and your plane is stuck on the tarmac.

Then a flight attendant jumps on the intercom, and instead of providing soothing words, she says the worst thing imaginable – “We don’t want to die.”

Sounds like an SNL skit, but it happened to Ryanair passengers on a flight from Glasgow to Dublin on Jan. 18.

The flight was horribly delayed, and passengers were getting antsy after sitting on the tarmac for eight hours. As tension on the plane grew, the flight attendant made a bizarre announcement that shocked everyone. Luckily, passenger Ella Ryan had her camera rolling and caught the moment.

“The captain cannot take off when we have ice on the wings,” the female crew member says in the clip. “And we don’t want to die.”

Passengers erupted in laughter after the brutally honest, yet inappropriate announcement. One person can even be heard saying,” We don’t want to f***ing die, man.”

After this eventful experience, Ryan says, passengers were given only a voucher for $7.20 for the inconvenience.

As for the bizarre announcement, Ryanair didn’t find the humor in the attendant’s choice of words.

“We will be speaking to the crew member involved and apologize for the regrettable comment she made in the heat of the moment,” said the airline.
