#Daydream: Lago di Sorapis, Belluno, Italy

We know how it is. You’re stuck at your desk and the day seems to be going on forever. Your mind starts to wander — at first to “anywhere but here,” but then to exotic, faraway lands where your everyday problems and stress melt in the presence of true paradise. You want to go to there, and we want to go with you. Every day at 3 p.m. Eastern, we’ll send you a picture of the place we at Yahoo Travel are daydreaming about so we can all take that mental vacation together. Let’s go to…

…Lago di Sorapis!!! We’re just going to go ahead and state the obvious: this lake is jaw-dropping beautiful. Set at the foot of the Dolomites, it’s surrounded by stunning mountain views. With so much gorgeous scenery in one spot, it’s no wonder that it’s a major tourist mecca and can get very crowded, especially during the summer months. We recommend you either visit in the spring when the mountains are alive with new blooms or in the fall when they’re drenched in color and the air is crisp. Whatever season you go, you won’t go home disappointed. Some past visitors have even said that this might just be the most beautiful lake on earth. And they might just be right.
