Trek’s New Wahoo Path Hybrid Kids Line Helps Create Life-Long Bicycle Riders
News out of Waterloo, Wisconsin, Trek Bicycles has launched a new line of bikes, just for the kids. Trek’s new Wahoo Path line of kids’ bikes is packed with lightweight, premium hybrid bikes that ride and feel like adult bikes.
The new line of bikes sports a light and durable Alpha Aluminum frame, 1×8 drivetrain, adult-style trigger shifters, and confidence-inspiring rim brakes. In addition, the Wahoo Path comes in 20″ (not available in the U.S.), 24″, and 26″ wheel sizes, to better accommodate a wider range of kids.

Lightweight, kid-friendly frame
The Wahoo Path’s lightweight Alpha Aluminum frame and fork make it easy for the lil’ ones to ride. They’ll have no issues lifting and maneuvering the bike while out exploring their neighborhood on their mini-adventures. Easy maneuverability means keeping things fast and fun.
Excellent Stopping Power
Stop on a dime with the familiar, lightweight, and powerful “V” brake, rim brakes. Giving the kiddos a great set of brakes keeps them safe and in control. Resulting in riding with confidence, hopefully creating a lifelong bicycle rider.
A Great Set o’ Gears
The microSHIFT Acolyte is a no-joke, kid-specific 1×8 drivetrain with an 11-38t cassette for excellent range. Kid-friendly trigger shifter that’s easy to reach and has a lighter action. Again, setting the lil’ ones up for success, and preparing them for the transition to adult bikes.
Keeping ’em Confident and Comfortable
The more upright riding position of the Wahoo Path hybrid-style geometry keeps the kids comfortable. The upright riding position allows more control and a better line of sight, for increased confidence. Riding until the street lights come on never looked so good.
