This incident occurred during a record-breaking rainfall in Dubai, where more than 10 inches of rain pummeled the city within a 24-hour period—the heaviest in nearly eight decades. Despite the potential dangers, the all-electric Taycan managed to traverse waters that reached its door handles, an ordeal captured in videos shared by TikTok user zubair_khan44.
The footage depicts the white Taycan initially appearing to float, pushed by the water's current through the submerged streets. As the vehicle progressed, it seemed to find some traction in shallower waters, pushing through with water swirling over its hood. While the car completed its journey apparently unscathed, the stunt was fraught with risks not just to the vehicle's electronic systems but also to personal safety.
Driving through such deep floodwaters is highly discouraged as vehicles can easily be swept away or suffer critical mechanical failures that could endanger lives.
