LG opens 'tech playground' innovation center in North Jersey to show off latest products
Electronics company LG is opening a Business Innovation Center in Englewood Cliffs, meant to showcase the corporation’s latest technology to its corporate customers.
The new 3,600-square-foot center will be the most high-tech feature of LG’s 350,000-square-foot headquarters in the Bergen County borough, which overlooks the Hudson River.
It will be a “technological playground” where technology will be displayed in a “gallery-like experience,” said David Bacher, LG’s head of marketing.

“We want this showroom to be a reference for technology professionals and businesses across the Northeast as they consider new tech-enabled solutions and experiences for every location, from hospitals and retail stores to restaurants and entertainment venues,” Bacher said.
The technology would be used in schools, stores, transit hubs, hospital wards “or any other public location,” Bacher added.
The technology exhibits are broken down into seven areas, meant to show off technology to corporate customers, also known as B2B or business to business.
Visitors are first greeted by LG’s autonomous robots — like CarryBot, GuideBot and ServeBot.
They’ll then be able to view high-quality LED displays, followed by electric vehicle charging stations meant for hotels, restaurants, schools, stadiums and offices.
Next is a computing area showing off LG’s latest laptops, followed by LG’s projectors and then medical technology, ranging from diagnostic monitors, to surgical monitors and radiology monitors.
Lastly, the center shows off LG’s latest TV screens, typically used for hotels.
