Discord voice chat outage displays 'awaiting endpoint' message for users
Discord was down for about an hour on Friday as the instant messaging service was investigating an issue with its voice chat.
Downdetector, which monitors outages based on user submissions, was showing 12,989 outage reports as of 2:30 p.m.
According to Discord's status page, the issue was isolated to the "deployment of new code of our 'voice server syncer'" service at 2:15 p.m. ET. A fix was implemented, and the issue was marked resolved at 2:57 p.m.
