Comcast plans to launch a streaming bundle later this month that will include Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+, according to a new report from Variety. Reportedly called StreamSaver, the bundle will be discounted but only available to subscribers of Comcast TV or internet service.

It’s not entirely clear how much the new bundle will cost, but the cheapest way to get all three streamers, at the moment, costs users $23. The streaming bundle was announced in New York on Tuesday by Comcast chairman and CEO Brian Roberts at MoffettNathanson’s annual Media Internet and Communications conference.

The announcement comes on the heels of Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery announcing a new streaming bundle that will combine Max, Disney+, and Hulu. That bundle is scheduled to launch at some point this summer, though pricing for that package has also not been announced.

As Variety notes, Peacock is widely expected to see an influx of new customers this summer for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris, France. The Olympics start in mid-July and Peacock plans to raise the price of all plans by $2 per month around the same time on July 18. The most basic Peacock package, Peacock Premium with ads, will jump to $8 per month, while the “mostly” ad-free Peacock Premium Plus will soon set customers back $14 per month.

What kind of discount will Comcast customers see with StreamSaver? Again, we don’t know how much you’ll be able to save, and Roberts insists it will be a “vastly reduced price,” but we’re just cynical enough that we wouldn’t be surprised to see the “discount” exist as little more than the difference between the pre-July price for Peacock and the new price. We’ll simply have to wait and see.
