Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls to host drone education event

BEAVER FALLS ― Community members interested in flying personal drones may be interested in an upcoming workshop at the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls.

The library will host a public informational session with Angle of Attack Imagery called "Drones 101" at 2 p.m. Saturday. At the event, attendees will be able to learn more about the different types of commercial drones, the Federal Aviation Administration's safety guidelines associated with these devices and the types of aerial photography or videography possible with these small aircraft.

The event is expected to last around one hour and additional time will be provided after the event to discuss the drones or ask one-on-one questions. According to event organizers, the first 10 attendees will receive a 3D-printed drone model kit.
