Amazon launches low-cost delivery service with subscription in KC
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Tuesday morning, Amazon announced a new grocery delivery subscription now available to Prime members and customers using EBT in more than 3,500 cities and towns across the United States.
The subscription will be available throughout the Kansas City metro and costs $9.99 per month for Prime members. It includes unlimited grocery delivery on orders over $35 from Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market and many other local grocery and specialty retailers on Amazon.com.

As part of Amazon’s work to help low-income customers more affordably shop for groceries, those who have a registered EBT card can still get the same grocery benefits for $4.99 per month without a Prime membership.
According to a news release, customers who prefer to have a more regulated and scheduled grocery routine — whether ordering online or picking up — will save more time and money due to Amazon’s selection of nearly 100,000 grocery items.
“Our goal is to build a best-in-class grocery shopping experience—whether shopping in-store or online—where Amazon is the first choice for selection, value, and convenience,” Tony Hoggett, senior vice president of worldwide grocery stores at Amazon said in a news release.
“We have many different customers with many different needs, and we want to save them time and money every time they shop for groceries.”

Grocery delivery subscribers also receive one-hour delivery windows, where available, at no extra cost and unlimited 30-minute pickup on orders of any size. They also get priority access to Recurring Reservations for their weekly grocery order.
