Zac Efron just broke our hearts with one of the saddest Instagrams ever

Zac Efron just broke our hearts with the news that his Australian Shepherd puppy, aptly named Puppy, has died.

He announced the super sad news in an emotional Instagram post that has us totally reaching for the tissues.

Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend. I’ll see you at the finish line, RIP Puppy Efron. “Felt hog tied ever since my dog died/ He lived to 84, damn, that’s a long ride/ I know he up there he just sit and he wait/ I’ll be racing up the stairs I'mma get to the gate singing” -Chance the Rapper

“Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend. Until we meet again, RIP Puppy Efron,” Zac captioned the photo of his puppy licking his face.

Zac first introduced the world to Puppy in April 2012.

According to People, Efron has other dogs he can take comfort in. He’s got another Australian Shepherd named Dreamer and adopted a dog he got with his ex-girlfriend Sami Miro that they named Chappelle. Clearly Zac has great taste in adorable puppies since Chappelle is total cutie-pie.

This has been a tough few weeks for celebrities and their pets. Just last week, John Stamos revealed that his dog, Linka, had passed away.

She was always there, especially in the dark times. Never judging. By my side. Only loyal. #rip Linka

“She was always by my side, especially in the dark times,” Stamos captioned his Instagram tribute photo. He added,”Never judging. By my side. Only loyal.“

Ugh. So sad.

We know it’s not easy saying goodbye to a lovable furry friend, so we’re sending lots of love Zac, John, and anyone else who that be going through something similar.
