Xenia Deli Knows She’s Hated By Beliebers

On a night dedicated to men’s style, women really ruled New York City. At the event for Marghertita Missoni’s newest collaboration with beer company Peroni, all eyes were on the ladies of New York Fashion Week. Friends including stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe joined Missoni at the special kick-off party at the Gramercy Park Hotel.
The fashion heiress recently collaborated with Peroni on a special edition pocket square influenced by her husband, Eugenio Amos. “I’ve been learning from my husband about menswear,” said Missoni. “It’s about little details and subtleties, which they weren’t obvious to my eye before knowing him. He is very much into his clothing and wardrobe. So, I started learning (from him). But, I was excited to work on this and just had fun doing it.”
One particular man was also on the brain when it came to a certain attendee — video vixen Xenia Deli — who has skyrocketed to the top of the pop culture popularity list after starring in Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” video. Deli had no problem dishing on the 21-year-old when approached by Yahoo Style.
Yahoo Style: How did the “What Do You Mean” video shoot come about?
Xenia Deli: It was through the casting through my agency. I was one of ten girls there. It was a pretty hard situation because it was acting more then modeling.
Did you know it was going to be so sexy when you started the process?
No, of course not. Of course not. They didn’t tell us. They didn’t say anything. It was just when we got there that I knew this was going to be a little fun.

Justin is used to this because he’s done many of these (videos), so how did he help you?
Before the main scene where we’re kissing and hugging each other he started talking to me and we started knowing each other much better. Our communication helped us become used to that (type of interaction).
Obviously people imagine him one way, but was Justin different than you imagined?
I was worried when I first got to the shoot.. Stars, can act like, well, stars. And for me it was pretty hard because I was thinking, how will I deal with him for days? But, no, he is so simple and so nice and a very spiritual person.

How did you deal with the dating rumors that came after that video?
Before I was paying attention (to the attention) because I’m so fragile to those kind of things, but after I decided it just makes me sad. And I don’t have to read all those comments and listen to all those people, who are just in love with him and hating me, you know?
