Exclusive! Gigi Hadid Makes Her Acting Debut In a Short Film For V Magazine
We told you it was coming, and now here it is! Gigi Hadid is starring in her first acting role (unless you count the “Bad Blood” video or guest appearances on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) which debuts today exclusively on V Magazine’s website.
Directed by fashion photographer Sebastian Faena, Those Wrecked By Success is the story of an actress who is sobered by her own accomplishments. Following a win as Best Actress at the fictional Oscars, Gigi Hadid (who plays herself, duh) suffers from a great big helping of ennui. The morning after the win, she refuses to answer the phone, lounges around in her silk robe, spaces out while replaying her acceptance speech in her head, drinks delivery milk out of a bottle, and goes for a swim in her underwear.
Though her lines are few, Hadid’s expressiveness shines through. The camera clearly loves this woman. We hope there are more films in her future.
