Watch: The Trailer Launch of ‘Dhadak’ Was A Star-Studded Affair
All eyes were on Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter as Karan Johar released the trailer of Dhadak in Mumbai with the rising stars of B-town.
Though the paparazzi has been chasing her for quite some time now, this was Janhvi’s first ever media event where she addressed a room full of entertainment journalists and editors.
The entire Kapoor khandaan including father Boney Kapoor, uncles Anil and Sanjay Kapoor, siblings Khushi and Harshvardhan Kapoor were present. Producer Karan Johar spoke about how he believes in the talented young stars for the effort they have put into the film. KJo made the star kids, Janhvi and Ishaan feel quite comfortable by just being around and handling tough situations and questions and made sure it turned out to be a light and fun afternoon.
Janhvi honestly shared with the audience that she was indeed nervous, since it was her first ever full-fledged media interaction. When asked about mother Sridevi, an emotional Janhvi looked at her family and replied, “I definitely miss her today!” She further chose to answer a question on tips she got from her mother, “The tip I got from my mother was to work hard and feel every emotion.”
Ishaan Khatter on the other hand seemed very confident. When asked about his idea of love he articulated, “Pyaar aur mohobbat pe toh humaari zindagi kurbaan hai. Hum jo kuch bhi hai is because of the love of our parents and our friends and our peers. So, I think love is everything.”
Director Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak is an official remake of Nagraj Manjule’s Marathi blockbuster, Sairat (2016), a tragic inter-caste love story.
Dhadak is set to release on 20 July, 2018.
