Watch Kelly Clarkson and daughter River Rose be adorable to the tune of Salt-N-Pepa

Everyone likes a good dance-off every once in awhile. Luckily, the new viral craze is the #DiabetesDanceDare, which helps raise awareness towards finding a cure for the disease. Kelly Clarkson was challenged to participate, and decided to include her daughter, the totally adorable River Rose.

It’s so sweet that River Rose helps her Mom figure out the name of the challenge!

Clarkson decided to challenge the entire cast of The Voice to participate next, and hopefully all of them will decide to partake! (Of course, it would have been fun to see her past American Idol judges dance their hearts out — who knows? Simon Cowell might be down for that.)

The Diabetes Dance Dare was created to raise money and make people aware that an American is diagnosed with the disease every 23 seconds — pretty scary. To illustrate this point, dancing takes place for just 23 seconds (even though we have a feeling that tagged participants might not be able to stop!) Over 3o million people are already affected by diabetes. The good news is, we’re super close to figuring out a way to beat diabetes for good, and a fun campaign like this can definitely help more people get on board.

Clarkson participating is just more proof that she’s an adorable, quirky, and caring Mom — River Rose is having a blast, and she’s at the perfect age where she can’t really identify the lyrics, just the infectious beat. Speaking of River Rose, she’s served as quite the inspiration recently — Clarkson recently wrote a book called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, and it just came out about a week ago!

Next time these two have a dance party, we want in!
