Jason Wu celebrated his 10th year of business showing his Fall 2017 collection at the St. Regis Hotel in midtown Manhattan. The FROW was lined with celebrities from model Adriana Lima to actress Emily Ratajkowski.
Wu rose to stardom at the age of 26, when first lady Michelle Obama wore his design to the 2009 inaugural ball. Throughout her two terms in the White House, Michelle stayed loyal to the young designer, continuing to wear his clothes to major events, including her second inaugural ball and most recently the inauguration of President Trump.
Wu’s collection matched his location. It included tailored ensembles and crepe dresses fit for any uptown girl’s closet. With his polished mix of colors, textures, and patterns, Wu’s work showed the true mature designer who’s emerged over the past 10 years.
