Visiting a color psychic is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me
Before I met the lovely Leticia Sanmarti, I had a lot of questions. After all, we’d never met in-person and we planned to meet up in a park on a Sunday… so I could ask her even more questions. Before our appointment, I wanted to learn as much as possible about Leticia and her gift: the ability to communicate through color.
Back in 2009, Leticia began her journey as a nail technician in West Hollywood. “I would feel as if my soul just craved certain colors and then suddenly it would change, as if I was done with that color. I have always been highly sensitive, but I really noticed how much color made me feel better, like spiritual medicine,” Leticia revealed to HelloGiggles. “I had a few clients who talked to me about chromotherapy and chose their nail colors based off their wants and needs in their life at the time. So I began doing the same.”
Then, in 2013, her path took a turn (as paths tend to do). Leticia explained that this is when her medium abilities blossomed, when spirits would wake her up in the middle of the night. “I would fall back asleep and felt as if I had colors covering me with information,” she continued, painting an ethereal picture.
Prior to my very own reading with Leticia, she educated me on how a color reading is performed.
On one hand, it can be done with a deck of color cards, allowing the medium to quickly focus on a certain subject while the universe communicates to her through the colors in her deck. And on the other hand, such a reading can be conducted during a session that involves Leticia drifting into a colorful trance. I witnessed the latter in-person — though Leticia typically conducts her sessions via text, which works in tune with her gift because “energy does not know time or space.”
“Through color sessions, I am able to communicate with the spirit realm,” mentioned Leticia. “Loved ones who have left the physical world may step forward, as well as spiritual guides or angels. During these sessions, I am shown my client’s color energy aura.”
Depending on what her clients want to focus on, Leticia will adjust her session to help them receive closure, guidance, or encouragement. “For example, a client may be overly emotional and I see their life as distressed. Their loved ones will suggest yellow be worn, eaten, or visualized for joy and more logic — which shifts the aura,” she divulged, adding that she also has the ability to show her clients the color of their aura/energy fields. This specifically allows Leticia to grasp where her clients are spiritually, mentally, and emotionally in their lives.
Going more in-depth about the wonder of color, Leticia expressed,
“Why color is key is because we are energy and color is energy. We all operate energetically on different frequencies. Colors also operate on different frequencies. The aura colors show what frequency a person is operating on. Violet is the highest frequency, red the lowest. Well, when we focus on specific colors, eat foods with that color, or visualize these colors — we are setting the intention to align ourself with that specific frequency. This is along the lines of chromotherapy also known as color therapy or light therapy. It’s been around for many many years.”
With Leticia’s words sending a rainbow of thoughts through my mind, I was excited to see her in action. And she did not disappoint.
During my session, we sat on the grass covering a quiet patch of a public park. To help her focus on a certain frequency, Leticia immediately starting playing music on her phone (Radiohead, I believe) and closed her eyes. What she told me over the next hour or so varied between symbols of great significance to me, messages from departed loved ones, colors that spoke to the timeline of my life, and even allusions as to what my future would look like.
While Leticia and I discussed topics I don’t feel comfortable sharing with a wide audience (topics Leticia couldn’t possibly have had prior knowledge of), I would be more than happy to talk about the colors Leticia saw for my aura. Turns out that my energy field is diagonally split in two, displaying indigo on top and orange on the bottom. The indigo symbolizes that I am an indigo child, one who may seem unusual to others, one with a potent sense of empathy, and one who tends to rebel against systems of authority. As for the orange part of my aura, it reflects that I can be emotionally detached, that I tend to think with my head, and that I sometimes go too deep. (All true, tbh.)
Not once did I feel uncomfortable or led astray. Leticia herself was skeptical of the messages she received, frequently asking for clarity, and informing me: “I ask spirit to provide solid proof during sessions, since I am a very skeptical medium. My goal is to only provide the information that is for the greatest good of my client. I want people to receive healing messages, encouragement, and to feel loved and guided by whoever is watching on the other side.”
Ultimately, I left my color reading feeling better than I’ve ever felt leaving therapy. Leticia made me feel like, even with life ups and downs, everything would turn out alright. Because I have so many people on my side (and on the other side). To perfectly sum up how my color reading went, I have this quote from the medium herself:
“I love being allowed to assist in healing, growth, or inspiring. It takes a lot of courage to open yourself up to a complete stranger and hope for the best. I am grateful I have the ability to be the middle person. I love hearing the validation. I feel as if I am getting a reading along with clients sometimes. I feel shocked and amazed with them. It is never just another session for me.”
