Victoria Beckham Rises to the Top of the Fashion Charts

Victoria Beckham is having a major moment, capping off a busy fall by landing the number one entrepreneur slot in Management Today’s list of Britain’s 100 best managers.

In August she landed the cover of British Vogue; just weeks later she was named as a U.N. goodwill ambassador and travelled to South Africa to promote the organization’s efforts to eradicate AIDS.

Did we mention Beckham also opened a London flagship? The mega-space on Dover Street, some 6,000 square feet dedicated to Beckham’s slimline aesthetic, launched in September to much fanfare.

For several years now, even the most skeptical amongst the fashion set have acknowledged Victoria Beckham as a legitimate figure in the design world. Now, it appears that she’s well on her way to mogul-dom, too. Since she launched in 2008, Beckham has gone from a respectable £1 million in sales a year to £30 million a year (that’s a lot of cocktail shifts.)

Aside from making bank, her business now employs 100 people and dresses some of Hollywood’s biggest names (think Miranda Kerr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, and Anne Hathaway.)

As for the latest in Beckham’s clean-lined, feminine look? VB’s most fashion show, for Spring 2015, was well-reviewed and featured uniform-inspired classics; Anna Wintour sat front row, right next to David.
