Update: Heads Are Rolling Over The Prada Dress That's On Every Cover

Update August 24: According to Page Six, there's been some major drama over the appearance of that Prada frock on five September issues. The paper reports that, according to "a source," W magazine had originally planned to outfit its September cover star Gigi Hadid in the same dress that already appeared on Katy Perry for Vogue Japan, and Rosie Huntington-Whitely for Harper's Bazaar UK, but had to replace the cover shot last-minute to avoid duplicating the other covers. Per the same source, "editors are furious" because each mag had been told they'd have an exclusive on the dress. W editor Stefano Tonchi denied that he switched his cover over the kerfluffle, and while Prada reps declined to comment on the matter, Page Six is also reporting that the Prada employee who sent the various mags the same dress is no longer with the company. If we had anything to do with the dust-up, we're sorry. We just thought the dress was pretty, is all.

Update August 18
: Allure just revealed its September cover featuring a fresh-faced, smoky-eyed Jessica Alba, who is — surprise! — also wearing a look from Prada's fall 2015 ready to wear collection. That makes 5 September covers for Prada so far, not to mention Cara Delevigne's turn in the cotton candy-pink Prada dress from this month's Vogue. The Vogue cover may have gone to Beyoncé-in-Marc Jacobs, but Miuccia P. still feels like the champ to us.

In case you missed the documentary that spawned a thousand
Anna Wintour gifs , the September issues are kind of a big deal. Covers started trickling in this week, inspiring important debates like the de-sleazing of Maxim , and whether or not " revenge " is an acceptable reason for working out (answer: yes). As we looked at them all, we started to notice a pattern. Already, one designer has emerged victorious by appearing on a whopping four September issue covers: Prada.

Miuccia Prada's bow-and-brooch-filled Fall 2015 collection has already graced the covers of Vogue Japan, Glamour Russia, UK Harper's Bazaar, and Town & Country — and there are lots more September issues to come. Is it too early to crown Mrs. Prada queen? To be honest, for her continual devotion to ugly 70s prints, old man pants, and flare-heeled Mary Janes , she already reigns in our hearts.
