Topshop x Adidas Originals Collaboration: Athleisure Will Never Die

We’re about halfway to 2015 and there are two things that we can say with certainty about this year. One: collaborations still rule all. Two: Athleisure will never die.

And why would it? It’s a gift to be able to look so cool while still being so thoroughly comfortable. Adidas has always been the king of collaborations, they have ongoing collections with Raf Simons and Rick Owens, and recently have turned out joint efforts with the likes of Rita Ora and Pharrell – is there anyone they WON’T work with? The answer is no, or at least not anytime soon, as their new collaboration with Topshop hits stores today.

Not that we’re complaining of course! When you coming the classic look of the Adidas essentials; the Superstar sneaker, the track pant with the three stripes down the sides, with Topshop’s more trend-driven looks, the result is pure awesomeness. (Topshop meanwhile, has another Athleisure collaboration in the works with Beyoncé, which is highly classified, of course.)

The 7-piece collection features trackpants, tees, jackets, and the classic Superstar sneaker done in two ways (let’s face it, we came here for the sneakers!). One is white leathe, lined in red, with black laces and a big pull tab in the back with the numbers 00:45:50 in big, bold letters. The other, snazzier style, is silver, with the same pull-tab details. Odds are the silver will be the first one to sell out so you better get to it! On your mark, get set, shop!
