Tommy Hilfiger is clearly smitten with Gigi Hadid. And who can blame him? For two seasons in a row, products from his eponymous brand with the model’s seal of approval have sold out before even hitting the runway.

In fact, the designer is so fully enamored with the 21-year-old model that he thinks she could be the key to peace between the United States and the Middle East. When asked by TMZ what he thinks about Hadid’s new cover of Vogue Arabia he called it “incredible.” While Hilfiger noted that the editorial might not help his company, he noted that it could “melt relations or increase the love between [the] Middle East and America.” He added, “Gigi’s the conduit.”

There’s no word from Hadid yet on whether she supports this incredibly bold statement.
