The Kardashian Kleanse: A Lot Harder Than It Sounds

On Friday, Florida anchorman John Brown became both a celebrity and a beacon of common sense. When yet another Kardashian memo—this one about Kylie’s new pet rabbit, Bruce—popped up on his teleprompter, he staged a mini-mutiny, declared it a “non-story,” and walked firmly off-set.
Today, Brown gains an unlikely ally in Perez Hilton, the internet’s pop culture emperor, who’s called for a week-long Kardashian Kleanse. “From August 17-21, you can come here for all of the juiciest entertainment news without having to be bombarded by Kim Kardashian, Caitlyn Jenner, and everyone in between,” he writes. “Instead of the Kardashian klan, next week we’ll be highlighting daily inspiring stories about amazing women from all around the world!”
But just like the pizza you scarf before starting your juice diet, his site proves it’s not quite time for a Kimye detox just yet: Kylie and Caitlyn Jenner are still trending tags on his homepage, and a recent story from Perez himself reads, “Kim just unfollowed me on Twitter.”
Baby steps, everyone…
