Just last month we wondered: Where are the plus size male models? The normal size male models? While straight size models still dominate high fashion, the industry’s grown far more curious about different shapes and sizes this year. From transgender models in Vogue to size 14s in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, not everyone’s as skinny, white, and blonde as they were just a few years ago. The world of male modeling, however, still features just two types of men: tall and cut or tall and skinny. Leave it to The Fat Jewish to hear our plea and shake things up.

New York magazine’s The Cut reports that the Instagram star and purveyor of White Girl Rosè, Joshua Ostrovsky, will stage the Dad Fashion Show during MADE Fashion Week in New York on September 16.

“Josh has always been a visionary and that is something we welcome into the MADE family,” Jenné Lombardo, co-founder of MADE Fashion Week, said. “I think the establishment would agree: his keen eye, ability to identify trends and the high probability that he has fathered a yet-to-be-identified child has always kept him at the forefront of culture."

The presentation will celebrate fathers, which speaks to Lombardo’s point that Ostrovsky’s tuned into what’s trending. Recently, the dadbod, a physique that says “I go to the gym occasionally, but I also drink heavily on the weekends and enjoy eating eight slices of pizza at a time,” became a phenomenon, highlighting the often overlooked male parent.

The fashion offerings will be eclectic and reflect "the moods and personalities of dads of all ages."
