Taylor Swift Wore the Budget Version of Karlie Kloss’s Atelier Versace Gown

Taylor Swift is one of the highest-paid musicians in the world — and that’s not hyperbole. According to Forbes, the 1989 artist made $80 million between June 2014 and June 2015, yet even with the top selling album, a sold out concert, and endorsement deals, the singer still shops at the mall (maybe).

On Monday, following back-to-back shows at MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the “Style” singer was spotted leaving her apartment wearing a $128 lilac frock from Free People. She rolled the long sleeves up to keep cool in the summer heat and paired the piece with tan Mary Jane heels and a lace embellished headband worn over her hair like a crown.

Swift’s mini dress is actually very reminiscent of a recent runway look worn by her “Bad Blood” and Vogue cover buddy Karlie Kloss. At haute couture fashion week in Paris earlier this month, the supermodel strutter her stuff for Atelier Versace in a pale purple gown and flower crown.

So while Swift might actually be able to afford a killer custom made gown from Donatella herself, not only the exact version worn by Kloss but she could also most likely request a daytime version from the Italian designer specifically so she could match her friend, she isn’t above replicating the ensemble with affordable pieces.
