Stephen King Wrote a Childrens Book

Attention, parents: If you want to scar your children for life, consider buying Stephen Kings new book specifically written for children.

Yes, thats right. The master of horror fiction has written a children's book.

Charlie the Choo Choo is a new book from author Beryl Evans (which is actually Stephen King under a dastardly pseudonym)and it is not for the faint of heart.

The 19-page book is taken directly from the fictional universe of Stephen Kings Dark Tower series, the 1991 The Waste Lands, to be specific. The story is mentioned briefly by one of the characters in the series and nowbecause we are all living in Kings worldit permanently exists.

In the book, Charlie is a train engine who is a completely sentient being. He explores the world with his best friend, Bob. Bob and Charlie are an inseparable pair and they may seem like the perfect pair for childrens literature. But just remember that this is all masterminded by Stephen King and nothing is as it seems.

The illustrations exist in a very specific part of the uncanny valley that wont necessarily mentally scar children, but will definitely permanently sear themselves in any childs mind.

And for those who dont get the authors nom de plume (its a character from the Dark Tower), he has placed a blurb on the cover: If I were ever to write a childrens book, it would be just like this!

The book is available for pre-order for its November 22 release date.
