These new Starbucks drinks taste like a tropical vacation and will light up your Instagram feed
In case you haven’t noticed, it’s starting to get blisteringly hot outside. But luckily, Starbucks is here to save us, or at least brighten our days. Starting today, they have two new refreshing summer drinks on the menu, and you better believe that they’re aesthetically pleasing.
Say hello to Starbucks’ new Berry Prickly Pear and Mango Pineapple Frappuccino blended créme beverages!
As if your mouth isn’t already watering, here are the deets: The berry frappe features mango creme poured over strawberry prickly pear fruit puree, and also contains hints of lime, passionfruit, and hibiscus to make this a total summer delight. Um, YUM.
“Prickly pear has a similar taste to tropical melon and berry, and we found that it pairs really well with strawberries,” said Jennica Robinson from the Starbucks beverage development team. “This Frappuccino is made without whipped cream, so the fruit flavors and bright colors really shine through.”

The mango frappuccino has mango créme poured over mango pineapple fruit puree, and there’s a sneaky hint of lime in there, too. Don’t know about you, but we’re sold.
“The mouthwatering fruit puree forms ribbons of bright color throughout the Frappuccino, creating creamy and fruity layers of flavor as you sip the beverage,” Robinson continued.
