Pretty much since the finale of Season 6 of Game of Thrones, we’ve been dying to hear any specifics about Season 7. Luckily, Vulture interviewed Sophie Turner about Sansa and Game of Thrones Season 7, and she gave us a few small tidbits that have us extra excited. SPOILER ALERT for those of you not caught up on the show!

When we left Sansa Stark at the end of Season 6, she had started to come into her own. Sansa saved the day and won the battle for Winterfell, even after Jon Snow wouldn’t listen to her. Plus, she got some satisfying revenge on her terrible husband, Ramsay Bolton. Sansa truly stepped up and showed us that she’s ready to be a badass. Now, we can’t wait to see what happens next.

Sophie told Vulture that Sansa has tasted power and enjoyed it.

Sophie said in her interview that Sansa enjoyed the power of helping during the battle for Winterfell. It was only thanks to Sansa’s ties with Littlefinger that the Knights of the Vale were able to help out. And Sophie has some interesting insights into Sansa’s complicated relationship with Littlefinger. Because Littlefinger actually offers Sansa power, she may not be as against his offers as she once was. Sophie refers to the look shared between Littlefinger and Sansa at the end of Season 6.

Sophie told Vulture, “So she was looking to Littlefinger like, oh, you’re right. Maybe that pretty picture you painted of me on the throne and you by my side isn’t such a bad one.”

If you recall, Littlefinger wants to join forces with Sansa, but Sansa rebuffed that idea. But maybe now she has changed her tune. We will be very interested to see what happens if Sophie is right about those two. Sophie also spoke about the fact that Sansa has power over Littlefinger, and she likes that.

Sophie said, “It would destroy his reputation if she revealed any of the stuff that she knows about him. It’s tricky. She has power, but it’s a question of whether people listen to her or not. You’ll see more of that in this upcoming season.” OMG, we can’t wait!

Sophie also talks about Dark Sansa, and how we’re going to see more of her.

Sophie told Vulture that the Dark Sansa in the black dress was just a taste. In the next season, we’ll see more.

Sophie said, “She’s playing the game now, and very ruthlessly. When she wants something, she’s going to go out and get it.”

We definitely can’t wait to see more of Sansa asserting herself. We have loved watching her grow into her skin, and we can’t wait to see where that takes the character.

Does that mean Sansa makes it to the end? Well, Sophie won’t reveal too much.

Sophie told Vulture that, similar to the matching tattoos that she and Maisie Williams got, she thinks that the entire cast should get tattoos. She said, “I think the plan is for everyone to get matching tattoos if we survive to Season 8. That’s the plan. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m in there!” Vulture also suggested that those who don’t survive should get temporary tattoos. She responded, “Preferably on our faces! On our foreheads. Like a gang-style tat. Perfect. Then I’m good to go. Life’s made. Job’s done. I could die happy now.”

So Sophie won’t say whether she makes it to Season 8, but she also speaks in the first person when talking about characters that DON’T make it. We don’t want to speculate too much, but we can see very clearly that we have a LOT of interesting Sansa storylines in the upcoming season.
