Selena Gomez Wears (Only) Denim Underwear on New V Cover

Inez and Vinoodh shot the forthcoming cover of V Magazine, legendary stylist Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele styled it, and even James Franco was involved—he interviewed the cover star. But none of that really matters compared to the fact that said cover star is basically naked.

Selena Gomez revealed both the cover and images from the black and white editorial on her Instagram this morning. Gomez wears a pair of denim shorts by Guess that are so short and so tight it’s entirely possible they’re painted on. “It’s here! Stay tuned to @vmagazine for moreeee next month! and thank you @carlynecerfdedudzeele@inezvinoodh and @jamesfrancotv,” she captioned the pic. It’s not like Gomez is too young to pose naked, she’s 22, but the big curls and pouty lips do make her look about 16 and the whole shoot feels a little Lolita-esque. One commenter writes, “Were you meant to look 10 in these?” and another weighs in, “You know, you can look beautiful without being half naked.” But where’s the fun in that?!

Gomez opens up to Franco (with whom she co-starred in Spring Breakers) about ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber: “‘When you’re young and you’re being told so many different things… its almost felt like all we had was each other, like the world was against us in a way.” She says she could barely leave the house after breaking up with her first love, and that “the next time (I have a boyfriend) will be much different… which will definitely not be anything soon.”
