In a tweet early Thursday morning, Vogue announced that Selena Gomez is their April 2017 cover model. The shoot, which took place in Los Angeles, finds Selena looking stunning as ever, wearing a two-piece Michael Kors Collection bralette and skirt and Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings. It's a representation of the more mature side we've seen from the singer as of late. This announcement will be particularly exciting for fans because while she has been on the cover of Vogue Brasil in the past, this is her first American Vogue cover.

In the last several years, Selena Gomez has become a fashion industry darling. She was photographed by Bruce Weber for an ad campaign with Louis Vuitton promoting the fashion house's Series 5 campaign. She also wore Louis Vuitton to the 2016 Met Gala.

More recently, Selena was named the face of Coach and rumors swirled about a $10 million dollar deal with the brand. Coach did confirm that the singer will work on a special design project with the brand's creative director Stuart Vevers. Selena also sat front row at Coach's Fall 2017 show next to Anna Wintour.

This cover milestone is not only a major win for Selena Gomez's career; it marks another step forward in her budding relationship with the fashion industry. Read more from the interview and see the whole stunning photoshoot on Vogue.com.
