The Secret Website Where Fashion Insiders Buy Their Designer Shoes

From ELLE

Fact: Now is the best time to go shoe shopping. Everywhere from Zara to Saks is slashing prices, which means you'll get a nice deal, but you'll also have to do battle with footwear lovers everywhere for the standout styles and most popular sizes.

One way to avoid the crowds? Head straight to my secret shopping weapon, Shoescribe.

Like the other e-commerce sites owned by its parent company, the Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, Shoescribe boasts a seriously impressive inventory. It offers an incredibly wide range of designers, from luxury labels (Gianvito Rossi, Chloé, Oscar de la Renta) to contemporary brands (Sam Edelman, Kendall + Kylie, Schutz). But the best part of Shoescribe might be the fact that the merchandise isn't as picked over as you'd typically find. Even in the sale section, the coolest styles are still available in a wide range of sizes, like these 30% off black Jil Sander block heels (in a 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) and these 30% off white Chloé slides (in a 6, 7, 8, 8.5, 9, 10, and 11).

Yoox Net-a-porter does have plans to fold Shoescribe into its other sites by the end of the year, but for now, it's still a fully stocked, e-commerce dream for shoe lovers-and one that's less trafficked by all your friends, coworkers, etc. If I'm fully honest, part of me hates to share this under-the-radar source of mine, because as a very common size 38 I'm sure my top picks will fly off the site a little faster once everyone reads this. But what kind of fashion editor would I be if I didn't share it? Check out my selects, including work-appropriate sandals, weekend-worthy kicks, and some frivolous ones you should own just because, below:

You're welcome.
