The second night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia was nothing short of star-studded.

Actress Elizabeth Banks served as the evening’s emcee, making her initial appearance in the style of Republican candidate and former reality television personality Donald Trump’s own self-homage to his signature entrance on The Apprentice. Banks also shared with attendees and viewers: “Some of you know me from The Hunger Games, in which I play Effie Trinket, a cruel, out-of-touch reality TV star who wears insane wigs while delivering long-winded speeches to a violent dystopia. So when I tuned in to [the Republican National Convention] last week, I was like, Hey, that’s my act.”

Banks’s fashion choices, however, were no laughing matter: She wore a white fit and flare Elie Saab dress embellished with white paillettes and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Academy Award-winner (and everyone’s favorite actress) Meryl Streep spoke at the end of the evening, preceding a performance by the no-make-up-wearing Alicia Keys, and wore a Catherine Malandrino American flag dress — that she shopped from her own closet and has owned since 2009.

Other stylish notables speaking at the DNC on Wednesday night included America Ferrera and Lena Dunham, who introduced themselves according to the insulting stereotype that Trump would most likely assign to them. Dunham explained that to Trump, her body was probably “a two.” Ferrera added that in Trump-speak, she was “probably a rapist.”

Dunham also commented that Trump’s rhetoric — which has been notably demeaning toward women — aims to bring society “back to a time when we were meant to be beautiful and silent.”

Based on the turns we saw by the bold-faced names last night who are unquestionably “with her,” to borrow from Hillary-campaign speak, it seems safe to say that’s not going to happen anytime soon.
