Sarah Jessica Parker might be the only person who can pull off sparkly shoes with any outfit. Well, she and Dorothy.
The actress rocked a particularly awesome pair of glittery shoes, sending her feet to Oz by way of Cinderella’s pumpkin, for a day out in New York City on Tuesday. While that’s a tough look to pull off when walking the city streets, she did it by toning down with casual clothing.
The shoes in question were her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Euphoric Glitter Bow Pumps, which have a ballet flat look with a bow on the toe and a two-inch block heel. The glitter finish shimmers a light blue. Basically, they are the shoes little girls who dream of being princesses beg their parents for. A similar style, the Tartt Mary Jane shoe in Scintillate, sold out in five hours on the Zappos Couture website and an hour and 45 minutes on Neiman Marcus’s site last summer.
They are a little princess-y for most grown women, but SJP can make even the craziest shoe look good. The dark-blond beauty wore a pair of white Tory Burch cigarette trousers with orange stripes on the outside of her legs and blue stripes down the inside. They basically looked like fancy track pants. She threw a cardi-coat over a black tee to finish the ensemble, giving it a cozier feel. From the top down, she goes from comfy to sporty to glam in one outfit. We don’t know how she does it.
And that’s not the only impressive outfit she wore Tuesday. Later that night, the 51-year-old actress looked perfect on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in an off-the-shoulder black-and-red striped shiny midi-dress with full flouncy sleeves. The frock seemed to be falling off her but managed to stay up thanks to piping in the chest.
And that wasn’t even the most daring part of the look. She wore sheer black tights embellished with black stripes and buttons and a pair of metallic red heeled SJP sandals. Of course, she nailed it.
