Sarah Jessica Parker Is Really Sorry For Giving ‘Sex and the City’ Fans False Hope

Sarah Jessica Parker would never intentionally hurt her fans. When the actress posted a photo on Instagram of herself dashing out of Bloomingdale’s carrying a Medium Brown Bag and wearing a Carrie Bradshaw-esque outfit, she was only hinting at the fact that her shoe line, SJP Shoes, would be coming to the department store, not, as many were hoping, that Sex and the City 3 was in the making. Some fans cried and many shared their disappointment with the mother of three, but she wants everyone to know how sorry she is for giving the legions of Manolo lovers false hope.

“Oh my god. When I posted that picture and people were in a rage at me, I was shocked. They were convinced I had been taunting them. I’m not that clever!” Parker shared with Cosmopolitan. “And to what end would I relish dangling this idea and then saying there’s no movie? I’m still finding people and being like, ‘No @BoobityBopBeep! Why would I hurt you?’ I’ve never been a mean girl.”

Scoring her first cover for the famed magazine (which is surprising considering her HBO character represented female sexuality for more than a decade), Parker also opened up about Met Gala memes (her son, James Wilkie Broderick, showed her the one where her headpiece was the flame frying Rihanna’s egg dress), her views on feminism (she is one), and humanism (prefers it to feminism), and her political perspectives. “The thing that would change people’s lives maybe more than anything, assuming that we maintain access to health care, is child care. “If I could guarantee every mother who is working two, three jobs that she had good child care that didn’t make her anxious all day — people would probably work in more efficient ways,” she said. “How many times do you hear a wealthy person get asked, 'How do you do it all?’ If I’m asked that question one more time … I’m like, 'Are you kidding me? Ask someone who looks like she’s about to drop, How are you doing? How are you managing?’”

Sounds more like she's unapologetic.
