Spoiler alert! Game of Thrones spoilers EVERYWHERE, so read at your own risk.

If you’re still basking in leftover endorphins from the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones, “Battle of the Bastards,” prepare yourself. Because one redditor pointed out that although Jon Snow won the battle with the help of Sansa Stark, the Starks may still not be in the clear. In fact, they may be in some serious TROUBLE.

Why? Because Littlefinger could totally betray them.

And before you say, “Okay HelloGiggles! Clearly Lord Baelish is in love with Sansa and that’s why he forced the Knights of the Vale to come help get Winterfell back from the Boltons,” hear us out.

While Littlefinger might like Sansa, he also really, really likes power.

Redditor nockside shared a clip from just last season. It shows Lord Baelish and Cersei discussing the matter of the Winterfell being under the control of the Boltons. He mentions that he found Sansa, that she’s to be wed to Ramsay (a union that he orchestrated). Cersei is pissed — the Boltons betrayed the Lannisters, and she still believes that Sansa had some part in Joffrey’s death. Watch it here.

Baelish suggests seizing Winterfell after the Boltons and Stannis Baratheon’s army fight it out —which should be easy, since the Knights of the Vale are really skilled warriors.

“And if you succeed?” Cersei asks.

“Name me Warden of the North,” Littlefinger replied. He adds, “I will not rest until the Lion flies over Winterfell,” Littlefinger says, in reference to the Lannisters’ house sigil.

“I’ll know you’re a man of your word when I see Sansa Stark’s head on a spike,” Cersei says.

However, Littlefinger doesn’t even have to fight the Boltons to gain access to Winterfell — he and the Knights of the Vale are already there. All they would have to do is take down whoever is remaining of Jon’s army. Littlefinger would force Sansa into marrying him (we’re guessing he doesn’t ACTUALLY want her head on a spike), and his plan would be complete: He would be the Lord of Winterfell.

We already know things are tense between Baelish and Sansa. In the finale preview, we see Sansa asking him what he wants. Littlefinger replies, “I thought you knew what I wanted.”

So what DOES Petyr Baelish want? To be Lord of Winterfell AND be with Sansa? Or could he care less about her?

What we know for sure, is that the Starks are NOT in the clear yet. And Littlefinger is never, ever to be trusted.
