Russian Oligarch Who Gave Fiancée $8 Million Engagement Ring Marries in Extravagant Ceremony

Russian oligarch Aleksey Shapovalov accomplished the impossible this past weekend. He outdid himself by hosting an extravagant wedding to match the over-the-top, headline-making, $8 million 70-carat engagement ring he presented to his then-girlfriend, model Ksenia Tsaritsina, upon their engagement.

The fancy fete, which was held at the Barvikha Luxury Village hotel in Rublekva, Moscow, featured thousands of white flowers and even a “floating” wedding cake and acrobats to complete the otherworldly feel of the event.

Polina Gagarina and the couple’s favorite rock band Leningrad performed for guests.

Tsaritsina, 27, wore two intricate beaded dresses throughout the night; one was an off-the-shoulder dress with a fitted bodice and large hoop gown, and the other was a soft, flowing sheer-lace dress with a matching long veil that she wore during the reception.

Shapovalov and Tsaritsina—a popular figure on social media, with more than 255,000 followers on Instagram alone—split their time between Russia and Dubai. They have been dating for five years, and share two young kids together.
