If you think Kate Middleton is the most athletic member of England's royal family, think again. On Sunday, Queen Elizabeth II stepped away from her throne and onto the fields of Windsor Castle for one of her favorite pastimes: horseback riding.

Yes, the 90-year-old Brit balanced her love of birthday cake with a romp across her own grounds, and did so masterfully. For the outing, the Queen was accompanied by Terry Pendry, the horse's head groom, People reports. And while Pendry cut quite a gentlemanly figure in a subdued riding ensemble, it's the monarch's style that proves she's set in her fashionable ways.

Rocking a graphic floral headscarf with a tan jacket and white pants, she recreated the same riding ensemble she sported in 2014, when she rode what appears to be the same black horse. The Queen, of course, isn't the only who enjoys her time off. Last month, Kate Middleton once again showed off her sweat-inducing prowess as she participated in a sailboat training session with panache.
