Ever since American audiences first saw Priyanka Chopra on screen, she’s had our hearts. Now, Chopra is developing a series about a Bollywood star coming to a boring American suburb and spicing things up, and it sounds amazing.

ABC is already hard at work putting it together. According to Variety, the sitcom still doesn’t have a name, but it’s going to be based on the real life of executive producer and former Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit. The show will also have Sri Rao on board as a writer, who has done work for Bollywood and General Hospital: Night Shift. Chopra will stay on at Quantico, which is now approaching its third season, and will co-produce the new series with Dixit.

It should be great to see what Dixit and Chopra come up with together, especially since they both have experience working in Bollywood. Unless you’re a fan of Indian movies, you might not know Dixit — but she’s pretty famous. At the London outpost of Madame Tussauds, she has her very own wax statue. That’s how you know you’ve made it, right?

Although she’s made a career for herself on screen, she ended up marrying a cardiologist and moving to a Denver suburb for 10 years.

She’s said of the experience:

“When I was with my family in Denver I was happy being unknown. I enjoyed being on my own and taking my car out for grocery shopping — I loved doing that — taking my kids to school, dropping them off, picking them up. I enjoy the other side too. I enjoy my job. I enjoy being on the sets and doing what I do best.”

So it sounds like they’ll be lovingly teasing suburban life in this new series — like Desperate Housewives, but with more diversity.

In other good news, it means that ABC, home to Shonda Rhimes’ many amazing shows, signed onto a show that will be produced by two women of color. It’s about time! Now we’ll be anxiously awaiting to hear who the star of the show is.
