Considering it's been on the air for the better part of a decade, it's hard to imagine Pretty Little Liars without, well, the Liars. Fans have gotten so used to seeing those five girls on their televisions every Tuesday that it's understandable to think of them as friends rather than fictional characters. But the process of casting the iconic series was a multi-layered one, and many pieces had to come together to form the ensemble that we love so much.
