Pope Francis Put a 'No Whining' Sign on His Office Door

Pope Francis, who has been outspoken on many progressive issues like climate change, the wage gap, gay marriage, countries taking in refugees, and more, is not afraid to put his foot down or speak his mind.

At the end of a hearing in St. Peter’s Square, psychotherapist Salvo Noé, gave the pope a sign, in Italian that translates to “No Whining.” The pope accepted it, saying he would hang it outside his office door.

True to his word, there it hangs, warning any complainers who dare enter.

The sign also states that “subject to a syndrome of always feeling like a victim and the consequent reduction of your sense of humor and capacity to solve problems.” And that the “sanction is doubled if the offense is committed in the presence of children.”

Of course, the sign is meant more to empower you (or even make you laugh) rather than to scold you. The sign reads that it is meant “to get the best out of yourself, concentrate on your potential and not on your limitations.”

According to Good Magazine, psychologists claim “negative thoughts beget more negative thoughts and can increase the amount of complaints that naturally pop up on our internal monologues.” So, perhaps a no whining policy is good for morale.

Especially the pope’s morale. Seriously, take it somewhere else.
