This Personalized Luggage Cover Will Make Your Airport Experience Much Easier

While the dreaded post-flight luggage carousal at airports may be one of the worst parts of the flying experience — How long will I have to wait? Did my bag make the connection? What if someone takes my suitcase by mistake? — a cheeky British e-retailer is here to help with one of those quandaries. And will make you and your fellow travelers smirk in the process, no less.

As brought to our attention by Lonely Planet, Firebox, a website that specializes in nifty gadgets and tech items, has created a product that lets you plaster your entire face on both sides of your luggage. Allow us to explain this easy process: All you have to do is upload a high-quality photo of your face (or perhaps that of a pet or a favorite celebrity) on the Firebox website, and the retailer will then create a custom-made double polyester spandex cover from it in a small, medium, or large size. When you receive it in the mail, all you have to do is fasten this durable cover on your luggage with the two provided buckles and voilà! Nobody will ever try to take your suitcase from the carousal — accidentally or purposely — ever again.

"You've tied on a little piece of coloured ribbon and you've spent a load of money on that mad clingfilm machine…only to discover that everyone else has done exactly the same thing," the Firebox website explains. "Prevent 'baggage reclaim' drama and make sure your bag stands out from the crowd by slipping it snuggly inside a Head Case. After all, nothing says 'that's my luggage!' quite like a giant version of your own face, smiling back at you as it shudders round the conveyor belt." We wouldn't disagree.

The Head Case prices are pretty reasonable, as well, so it's literally a small price to pay for a bit more travel sanity. Go on, print something crazy.
