Olivia Wilde is the Latest Unretouched Photo Leak Victim (Kind of)
Each and every time an unretouched image of a celebrity is released, chaos ensues. It’s like the public forgets actors are people, too—they don’t have airbrushers correcting their flaws each and every time they leave their house. Olivia Wilde, just one star who’s too often snapped by paparazzi, poked fun at the ridiculous mindset by sharing an unfiltered selfie from the set of her forthcoming movie. “Ugh well looks like I’m the latest victim of a non-retouched photo leak,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself on Twitter. But this isn’t your typical #IWokeUpLikeThis image.
Wilde, who stars in The Lazarus Effect, which is out on February 27, is covered in movie makeup from the set. The 30-year-old plays a university researcher who is brought back to life by her fiance—with some obviously unflattering complications. Beneath the layers of paint, Wilde actually has a pretty flawless complexion. She is a woman in Hollywood who doesn’t seem to need a makeup artist or a stylist to go on a walk with her family. And while the actress found a clever and subversive way of promoting her upcoming project, it’s still refreshing to know that a celebrity doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
