Oh, No She Didn’t: Melania Trump Wears One Dress Two Days in a Row

Well, this is a first for the first lady: Melania Trump has been caught breaking a major fashion rule — wearing the same dress two days in a row. The horror! The scandal! (We’re kidding here, folks.)

Melania first debuted the stunning red $2,950 crepe Valentino dress Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the Oval Office as President Trump signed a bill that is meant to encourage girls and women to pursue careers in STEM fields: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. She matched her daughter-in-law, who wore a red blazer, in the midi dress that features a flared skirt, short flutter sleeves, and a boat neck.

And we don’t blame her for loving the way she looked in it. But loving it so much she had to put it on again so soon? That’s a major risk. Thankfully, she did don another outfit in between. For her husband’s first address to congress Tuesday evening, she changed into a sequined black power suit that included the $4,995 Floral-Embroidered Stretch Pebble-Crepe Dinner Jacket from Michael Kors’ spring 2017 collection.

Maybe the next morning she overslept and just had to throw on the closest thing to her (it happens), because there she was again, caught red-dressed in the same outfit.

We have a feeling designers’ dresses aren’t thrown around in the White House, but whatever the reason, we never thought we’d see the day the first lady repeated an outfit so soon after debuting it.

The next day, Melania was very dressed up in her Valentino dress to visit with patients at the Children’s National hospital in Washington, D.C. We hope they appreciated her designer duds.

While it might be fashion 101 to not wear the same dress two days in a row, we’ve all done it. Who doesn’t have a favorite dress?
