We now know why Kylie Jenner wears that gigantic diamond ring from Tyga

Update, hot off the freshest presses y’all. Kylie Jenner is not engaged. I know, I know, it seemed a little touch and go there when she started sporting a massive diamond ring everywhere in July. We were all desperate to figure out the meaning behind it. Some fans were certain, a big shiny ring like that, even if it’s on the “wrong” hand has to mean something. But, then again, Tyga and Kyle have been on-and-off again since 2015, so surely he could simply just understand his lady love’s strong desire for sparkly things.

Well, it turns out both camps were right. Kylie just shared an image on Snapchat of two blinged out hands — hers and Tyga’s — with the caption, “if this is my promise ring, I wanna know what my engagement ring gonna look like.”

Be careful, don’t stare at either ring too long for you may actually be blinded. But seriously, those promise rings are probably one of the shiniest things I’ve ever seen. It’s a wonder either of them can ever get anything done rocking rings that vibrant — I think the rest of us normals would be locked in a staring contest with our rings for all time.

I think the real question here is how long does a promise ring typically last before an engagement ring (or you know, horse or yacht) pops into the equation? Kylie Jenner is only 19, but Tyga is 26, so who knows when or if these two will ever tie the knot.

Kylie and Tyga don’t have to get married to rock more and more sparkly jewelry gifts, so all I can say with certainty is that I’m excited to see whatever new bling comes from their union. Bring on the jewels!
