These Are the Most Popular Dog Names of 2016
We already know that Sophia and Jackson were super popular names for babies this year-but what about dogs?
Rover.com released its list of the most popular dog names of 2016 and these are the results:

While human names for dogs are the clear winner this year (with quite a bit of overlap between the most popular names for babies, too), if you look at the full list you'll notice a few other trends.
For example, pet owners were so obsessed with Netflix's summer hit Stranger Things that names of characters like Eleven and Barb are up 12 percent for dogs this year (nobody's named their dog Demogorgon yet, it appears).
While junk food-themed names like Taffy and Twix were popular this year, pet owners in health-obsessed cities continued to name their dogs after vegetables and whole grains. Did you know that dogs named Kale are most popular in Portland, Oregon, while dogs named Quinoa are more likely to live in Los Angeles?
