Beloved Menswear Designer Michael Bastian Finally Launches Women's Collection

Michael Bastian was among the first designers to cast a female model to walk in a menswear show, so it makes perfect sense that he ‘s adding a womenswear line to his eponymous label. For Spring 2016, he transported us to the glamour of Bel Air back in its heyday. (You know, when Frank Sinatra used to hang out at the Beverly Hills Hotel by the pool?) He featured women in cashmere sweaters adorned with cupcakes and paired with palm leaf shorts, which perhaps got their inspiration from the wallpaper at the Fountain Coffee Room in the basement of the aforementioned famed hotel. There were also form-fitting tea length dresses and relaxed cargo pants. Infused with the same easiness of his menswear collection, we’re excited for the laid-back looks for women as well.
