Malia Obama Spends Quality Time With Her Dad

Understatement of the year: Malia Obama’s dad is a busy guy. Yeah, duh, of course he is. But he’s a dad who loves his daughters and finds time to hang out with them. For a quick trip across the country, the president let Malia tag along, joining him as he spoke at the University of Chicago Law School before hopping over to Los Angeles for a fundraiser thrown by Walt Disney Studios’ Alan Horn.
The L.A. event was as star-studded as you might guess, with the L.A. Times noting Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Julia Roberts as a few of the many famous faces in attendance. The Obamas are set to attend another fundraiser, hosted by Tobey Maguire, today.
For such a busy trip, the 17-year-old Obama kept her travel look pretty chill. She donned a pink coat, cuffed comfy jeans, and black boots, letting her mile-long tresses fly free. We wager the college-bound senior is just practicing for when she officially becomes a coed and has to juggle a school workload and a social life, plus look presentable for class. Looks like she’s already got it under control.
