Madeleine Albright’s Glass Ceiling Brooch Broke the Internet
By now we all know that Madeleine Albright’s accessories game is strong — she literally wrote the book on it.
And on Thursday night, the former secretary of state proved to be unbeatable when it comes to accessorizing an outfit when she wore a “shattered glass ceiling” brooch to watch Hillary Clinton accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for the presidency.

Albright, who addressed the Democratic National Convention on the second night of the event, wore a different pin on that night — one that’s known as the Santa Fe Eagle, made from yellow-gold-plated brass, 23-karat gold and silver leaf, cultured pearls, rhinestones, and glass beads.
Albright frequently uses her brooches as a means of communication — she’ll wear turtle pins to signify impatience with slow negotiations, crabs to express aggravation — and this time her eagle and glass ceiling pins sent out very clear messages.
