‘I’m Staying In’: Sofia Vergara Isn’t Impressed by the Outfit Joe Manganiello Picked Out
Sure, the Modern Family star and her husband, Joe Manganiello, are famous for their elaborate, over-the-top declarations of love, but perhaps Vergara's biggest romantic gesture is embracing her husband's obsession with the Pittsburgh Steelers. "He's not a fan. He's, like, obsessed," she explained on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "He's like a sick person ... He has a section of his clothes that's all Pittsburgh Steelers outfits. After two years, it's like he's brainwashed me. I have no choice." Hey, at least she looks good in her Steelers couture!
Sofia Vergara might not let her husband Joe Manganiello pick her outfit out ever again.
Vergara, 44, took to Instagram to share her Saturday look: Pittsburgh Steelers everything. From the top of her head to her toes, every piece of clothing featured the signature Steelers logo.
“When u ask your husband to pull for you a cute weekend outfit #Imstayingin,” the Modern Family star captioned her funny mirror selfie.
It appears that her Pittsburgh-native hubby — and the Steelers’ No. 1 fan — has been trying to make his wife the ultimate Steelers fanatic for a while now. In September, Vergara opened up to Jimmy Fallon about Manganiello’s obsession.
“He’s not a fan. He’s, like, obsessed,” she told Fallon on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “He’s like a sick person. … I think it’s one of the most important things in his life. It’s not just football, it’s the Steelers. The Pittsburgh Steelers.”
In the interview, Vergara said Manganiello, 39, has an entire section in his closet dedicated to Steelers gear. And in the two years the couple has been together, Vergara said he has purposely swapped her thermos, pens and even nail file with Steelers-inspired options.

“After two years, it’s like he’s brainwashed me,” she told Fallon, when asked if she herself was a fan of the NFL team. “I have no choice. I’m always fighting with him because sometimes I arrive home when the season starts and even when he’s alone to watch the game, he’s in his whole outfit. … I’ve learned to accept it, but at the beginning it was kind of weird.”
Vergara married her die-hard Steelers fan last November after first linking up in July 2014, shortly after Manganiello raved about his now-wife in an interview with PEOPLE for the Hottest Bachelors issue.
