#LifeIWant: Dress Me in Haute Couture
On Sunday, the Spring 2015 Haute Couture collections will kick off in Paris to a few very privileged customers and a handful of editors in Paris. Only 10 designers are sanctioned to show during this time. To be truly recognized as a couture house, the Chambre Syndicate de la Couture Parisienne (a fancy association in Paris, founded in 1868) has to approve the designers. They must follow these rules in order to be accepted.
1. A made-to-order design for private clients with plenty of fittings in Paris.
2. They must employ more than 15 full time employees in their atelier (workshop) and it must be in Paris.
3. The designer must have at least 20 full time technical people working for them.
4. Twice a year, they must present at least 50 original designs to the public that includes day and eveningwear.
So now that we are fully aware of the world of Haute Couture, let me fill you in on my #LifeIWant dream this week.
